Just East of downtown Nashville lies the much larger, sister-venue to The Basement. The Basement East, opened in 2015, is a spunky music venue that hosts performances from a variety of local artists, as well as touring acts. This past Tuesday, May 23, the Basement East transformed as music lovers filled the venue to the brim, anticipating a killer show from The Blue Stones and The Velveteers.
The Velveteers, an electric rock and roll band from Denver, Colorado, opened for The Blue Stones this past Tuesday in Nashville, Tennessee. This intimate venue got a lot more personal as the Velveteers incorporated the audience into their performance. Lead woman and legend Demi Demitro immersed herself in the audience to jam on the floors of the Basement East.
Following the immersive opening act was the headliner, The Blue Stones. The Blue Stones, a Canadian duo from Windsor, Ontario stopped in Nashville, Tennessee as one of the first shows of their Pretty Monster Tour. Playing for a sold out show, members Tarek Jafar and Justin Tessier preformed their set of an enthralling blend of bluesy tones and psychedelic rock.
