Comfort Club takes us along the beginning of a romantic journey in the new single “Not Over Falling For You Yet,” releasing on August 2nd, 2022.
The song gives the listener the feeling of being in a “coming of age” movie,
fitting with the indie pop genre. Colin
Tracey (aka Comfort Club) is an amazing storyteller and does a great job delivering the story in an entertaining and relatable way. The upbeat instrumental throughout the track adds that youthful sound to the song. The lyrics combine perfectly with it to describe that feeling of yearning. That feeling of someone pulling you under the rug while you are still falling in love with them. The chorus repeats “not over falling for you, not over falling for you yet” to highlight the longing of that relationship. The bridge is introduced by the addition of groovy guitar notes to the instrumental base, with lyrics such as “go easy on me when I fall apart.” After the bridge, the song completes its final form by focusing only on the keys and Tracey’s vocals before launching the last chorus and a solo that reads “falling for you is all I do.” This is the first single of a bigger project coming out at a later date, and based on this song, we’re excited to see what he brings to the table.
