On November 23rd, 2024 David Kushner finished his North American tour in Oakland California. David brought his hauntingly beautiful artistry to the Fox Theatre, transforming the iconic venue into a cathedral of sound and emotion. Known for his deeply introspective lyrics and ethereal vocal delivery, Kushner’s live performance left nothing to be desired.

The Fox Theatre, with its ornate architecture and stellar acoustics, was the perfect setting for Kushner’s atmospheric sound. The dimmed golden lights and soft hues blanketed the stage, creating the ideal ambiance. Fans eagerly packed the venue, and as the first chords rang out, the room was enveloped in anticipation.
Kushner opened the night with “Darkerside", "Humankind", and "Poison". All songs from his most recent album. His voice, raw and honest, soared effortlessly, evoking a collective emotional response from the crowd. One of the standout moments of the evening came with his performance of “Mr. Forgettable.” The stripped-down rendition allowed the vulnerability of the lyrics to shine, leaving the audience captivated. It was clear that every note and word was deeply personal, and Kushner delivered them with an authenticity that connected with the audience.
Finishing the set, Kushner returned to the stage for a finale. The beginning notes to the incredibly popular "Daylight" echoed through the venue and the audience erupted in cheers. Kushner’s voice soared higher than ever, brimming with emotion only being matched by the hundreds of fans singing the words back to him.
David Kushner didn’t just perform at the Fox Theatre; he transformed it into a space of shared vulnerability and connection. As the audience filed out into the night, there was a palpable sense that everyone had experienced something rare, the kind of concert that stays with you long after the music has ended.
